Rebel forces have uncovered a plot by the Empire to use the Death Star to attack Rebel bases on faraway planets. The rebels want to destroy the Death Star by setting it on fire with a flammable liquid. In order to do so they need to calculate the surface area of the Death Star. The rebels know that the diameter of the death star is 140km.
Calculating the surface area (S.A.) of a sphere:
S.A.S. = 4πr²

Pi = 3.14
Radius is half of the diameter
