A few tips that I would give to somebody who is trying to make an effective, eye catching powerpoint slide would certainly be the phrase "less is more" in some situations. I think that a lot of the time people create powerpoint slides thinking that they need to squeeze all of this information in on the given amount of slides and think that if they don't include everything on the screen for the audience members to read they are failing. While in reality, I see it as less words on the slide can sometimes be just what you need to win an audience over. I think that it is important to know the information enough to not have to read directly off the slide in front of you and when you are able to do that you are able to make the powerpoint far more interesting. I think it is crucial to include eye catching visuals and to choose from fonts and colors that will interest the audience without overwhelming the audience. It can be hard to create a powerpoint that is not boring and overwhelming so it is important to take the time to learn the facts and information you are presenting in order to create a powerpoint that will be unique from the rest.
