PLEASE HELP I AM CONFUSION!
use the grouping method to factor the polynomial below completely 10x3-35x2+6x-21

Respuesta :

Important: Please use " ^ " to denote exponentiation: 10x^3-35x^2+6x-21.

Note that 5x^2 is common to the first two terms and that 3 is common to the last two terms. Factoring accordingly, we get 10x^3-35x^2+6x-21. 5x^2(2x-7) + 3(2x-7).

5x^2(2x-7) + 3(2x-7) has two main terms, of which (2x-7) is a common factor. This leaves (5x^2+3) as the other factor. The expression 10x^3-35x^2+6x-21 in factored form is thus (5x^2+3)*(2x-7).
