The main goal behind President Kennedy's Peace Corps was the “Improvement of America's Image”. During the course of this program, President Kennedy gave the idea of forming a new Army. This was a volunteer program, made up of young civilians who would volunteer their skills to travel the underdeveloped nations to assist them in one or another way. The goal of the program, however, included the Promotion of World Peace and Friendship.
