How did the english colonies become the most populous and powerful region in north america by 1700?

The English colonists supported the Colonies economically by using the resources to benefit the citizens of these colonies. Colonists also politically supported the colonies to ensure their establishment and success. They also allowed religious diversity which attracted a variety of investors and settlers.
