The tomb of Tutankhamen was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. The discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb was an unusual event as the tomb was intact, it had not been looted in the past and all the belonging of Tutankhamen were present with in.

Many objects were found inside his tomb and they were clearly made specifically for him and his burial, such as the coffins, funerary masks, canopic equipment and statues.  It also contained his throne, his two stillborn daughters and his child-hood toys.
