y = - 7

substitute x = 13 into the equation and solve for y

(- 3 × 13 ) - 2y = - 25

- 39 - 2y = - 25 ( add 39 to both sides )

- 2y = - 25 + 39 = 14 ( divide both sides by - 2 )

y = [tex]\frac{14}{- 2}[/tex] = - 7
