true Jan van eyke is a good example of northern renaissance art it has lots of detail and symbolism the mirror in the back you can see that painter painting the picture like you can see a camera in the mirror if you take a picture of it the woman is holding up her dress by her stomach to suggest fertility and pregnancy (not that she was at the time)
