simplify
n-2 = 10n/2 + 4/2
n-2 = 5n + 2
subtract 5n to both sides
n - 2 - 5n = 5n + 2 - 5n
-4n - 2 = 2
add 2 to both sides
-4n - 2 + 2 = 2 + 2
-4n = 4
divide both sides by -4
-4n/-4 = 4/-4
n = -1
