The introduction of the horse had a tremendous impact on the american way of life. It impacted first in almost all of the activities of the Plains Indians, who used horses for everything, mostly for hunting. The white population used them extensively in all ranch related activities, especially for the cattle herding, thus collaborating to the nation´s expansion towards the West.
