5y+2x=58

so the first thing you do is cancel out the 5s then you add the 8+2 and -18+58 then you have 10x=40 then you divide both sides by ten. then you plug that four back into an equation so i did 5y+2(4)=58 then 5y+8=58 you subtract 8 from both sides and you have 5y=50 divide both sides by 5 and you get y=10 and that is how you do that
