first change the 9.2 to standard form. which is

[tex]92 \times {10}^{ - 1} [/tex]

now the whole equation becomes

[tex](92 \times {10}^{ - 1} \times {10}^{ - 5} ) \times (4 \times {10}^{ - 3} )[/tex]

[tex] = 92 \times 4 \times {10}^{ - 1 + 5 - 3} [/tex]

[tex] = 368 \times {10}^{1} [/tex]

[tex] = 3.68 \times {10}^{2 + 1} [/tex]

[tex] = 3.68 \times {10}^{3} [/tex]
