Laurie buys four bags of candy with 10 pieces of candy in each bag. Her father then gives her 5 more pieces of candy. Laurie wants to give as much of her candy as she can to each of her six friends, and she wants to make sure they each get an equal number of pieces. How many pieces will be left over, if any, after Laurie gives her friends the candy?

Respuesta :

Since there are 4 bags of candy each bag contains 10 pieces of candy. So you would multiply 4*10=40. Then add five because her dad gave her 5 more pieces. 4*10=40+5=45. Then divide by 6 because she has 6 friends 4*10=40+5=45/6=7.5. Since Lauren can’t give her friends half a candy you would round it to 7. Hope this helps. Tell me if I’m wrong
