lets move the alike terms together -1/2x+6x<6+2 
11/2x<8
x=16/11

Am going to assume -(1/2)x

-(1/2)x - 2 < -6x + 6

-0.5x + 6x < 6 + 2

5.5x < 8

x < 8/5.5

x <  16/11
