A Fun Night Out
When Ben and Lisa went to the movies, they never expected their night to turn out the way that it had. Ben invited his friend Lisa to the movies to have a fun night out, the new movie "Weird" had just come out and they both couldn't wait to see it. It was the only horror movie out at that time that both of them were willing to see. They entered the theaters a few minutes early giving them time to get snacks after they got the tickets. Ben always insisted on sour candies while Lisa begged to differ, she always got popcorn and a slushy not really caring for any of the candy offered. The two friends hurried along and got their snacks, then headed to their seats still having time to spare, the trailers to new movies were still playing. Lisa relaxed in her seat taking sips of her slushy from time to time not noticing Ben panicking in the corner of her eye. He searched frantically for his wallet having little to no luck finding it.
"Lisa?" he asked in almost a whisper.
"Hm?" Lisa replied turning her head to Ben.
"Where is my wallet?" Ben asked in a louder frantic voice.
"I don't know, last I saw your wallet it was at the snack stand," Lisa said.
"Can you go grab it for me while I keep searching here?" Ben questioned.
Lisa sighed and agreed, the only reason being that she still owed Ben a favor. She got up from her seat and headed back to the lobby, she went to the snack stand and asked about the wallet, describing the details about it to the staff. Low and behold the staff found it and had been keeping it safe, Lisa thanked the staff and started to head back to her seat.
She went down more hallways than she remembered, making lefts and rights looking for her room number, becoming more and more panicked with each turn. She was about to start running before something caught her eye, it was a door but one that wasn't there before. It had the words "STAFF ONLY" on it in all caps, instantly Lisa grew curiosity. She knew she wasn't supposed to go in the room the "STAFF ONLY" door lead to, despite this she let curiosity get the better of her and she entered the room.
It had a musty smell to it and everything that in it was covered in dust. It looked like the stuff in the room hadn't been touched in years. Lisa wasn't able to tell what exactly was in the room considering the fact that everything was with a white sheet. She walked around the maze of white sheets, taking slow steps to take in what she was seeing. She turned around and slowly walked backward taking in how much stuff was in the room and how much mystery that below all the sheets of dust. Lisa stumbled as she accidentally walked into one of the draped objects, knocking it down causing a loud thud to be let out.
Lisa quickly unraveled the object from its sheet, revealing its self to be an old projector. She saw that she had broken the projector from the fall, Lisa panicked for a few seconds. "No one seems to have been here for years, so why not have a bit of fun in here?" Lisa thought to herself. Lisa bent down and started to dissect the old projector to see what inside. She took the sheet off another hidden object, revealing old films in a box. Lisa took one out and started to unravel it, admiring the small images on the tinted film.
Before she could finish she was interrupted by a tap on her shoulder, Lisa's heart skipped a beat as she whipped her head around. It looked like one of the staff members but translucent, it's touch on Lisa's shoulder was cold and bleed through her clothing. Before the ghost could say anything, Lisa sprang up, grabbed Ben’s wallet, and started running back to the door she came from. Another ghost popped up putting its hand out as if trying to tell her something. Lisa ignored the ghosts as they popped up from left and right, the door now seemed miles away and the covered objects seemed to tower her now. Lisa finally was close to reaching the door, she had to slow herself down with how fast she was going. Lisa closed the door, hoping to never see those ghosts again.
