In a 7th grade class, the ratio of boys to girls is 3 : 2. How many boys and how many girls could be in the class? Make sure the class has 30 students or less.

18 boys and 12 girls make 30 students. With ratios, you can multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number and it will still be the same ratio. How I got 18 boys and 12 girls is I took 3:2 and multiplied the top and bottom by 6. Hope this helped!
