The first thing I would do is change these numbers into improper fractions or decimals, so we won’t have to deal with mixed numbers. I’m going to change them into decimals rounded to the thousandth place:

Area = 95.833 ft^2 and width = 8.333 ft

We know that the formula for the area of any rectangle is:

Area = length * width

Let’s plug in what we are given:

95.833 ft^2 = 8.333 ft * length

Length = 95.833 ft^2/8.333 ft = 11.5 ft

Therefore the length is approximately 11.5 ft. Hope this helps! :)
