Si aumentamos la presión, mientras la temperatura es constante, el volumen disminuirá, conforme la ecuación siguiente válida para gases ideales:

[P*V] = constante.

Es decir, la presiión y el volumen están en relación inversa, por lo que al aumentar uno el otro disminuye.
