3/5*5/9.
We will cross multiply. Since 9 is divisible by 3, we will cross out 3 and 9 and replace the 3 with a 1 and the 9 with a 3, since 3 is multiplied 3 times to make 9. Then we cross out the 5's and replace both of them with 1's. That gives up 1/1*1/3
SO, 3/5*5/9=1/3
