Can someone PLEASE break down the percent increase and decrease I´m in 7th grade and my teacher has been out so I can´t really talk to her.

Answer:

"First, work out the difference (decrease) between the two numbers you are comparing. Decrease = Original Number - New Number. Next, divide the decrease by the original number and multiply the answer by 100. % Decrease = Decrease ÷ Original Number × 100. If the answer is a negative number, this is a percentage increase."
