Why is the beak of a bird important?

The beak of a bird is important because it helps the bird eat certain foods that allow it to live. If a hummingbird did not have a long , thin beak, it would not get the flower nectar it needs. Or if a parrot did not have a large, blunt beak, it would not be able to eat hard seeds.
