To write it in simplest form, you must find a common factor.

In [tex] \frac{3}{9} [/tex], 3 is a factor of both 3 and 9

3÷3=1 and 9÷3=3

So [tex] \frac{3}{9} = \frac{1}{3} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex] is your answer in simplest form.
