We know that the two angles are equal, so we can set the two equations for the angles equal to each other and solve for [tex]x[/tex]:

[tex]3x - 6 = 2x + 8[/tex]

Let's move the terms with [tex]x[/tex] in them to the left side and the constants (just numbers) to the right side of the equation.

[tex]3x - 2x = 8 + 6[/tex]

[tex]x = 14[/tex]
