For the first problem, you can convert [tex]-1 \frac{7}{10}[/tex] as a decimal, which is [tex]-1.7[/tex]. I've attached an image below and the red dot should be correct plotted version.
For the second problem, you can say something like Remy should look at the mixed fraction separate when plotting a mixed fraction. That way, it'll be easier to plot.
