Proportional relationships are relationships between two numbers/variables where they have equivalent ratios! Every proportional relationship has a constant of proportionality, where one variable is always a constant value times the other.

Example: [tex]\frac{2}{4}[/tex] and [tex]\frac{5}{10}[/tex] are proportional because when simplified, they have a ratio of 1/2 or 1:2.
