If you're trying to solve the inequality for x, because by isolating the variable you're dividing each side by factors that don't contain the variable.
You must multiply each side by 2 and then cross out the two 2's on the right side of the inequality symbol. Then, you multiply 6 x 2 which gets 12. X always means 1, so you get 12/-1 which is -12.
