slope = 4

Equation of a line

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

m = slope = 4

x1 = 3

y1 = 5

Substitution

y - 5 = 4(x - 3)

Simplifying

y - 5 = 4x - 12

y = 4x - 12 + 5

Result

y = 4x - 7
