we have the equation

2/3x +1/2y =4

Find out the intercepts

step 1

Find out the y-intercept (value of y when the value of x=0)

For x=0

2/3(0) +1/2y =4

(1/2)y=4

y=8

y-intercept is (0,8)

step 2

Find out the x-intercept (value of x when the value of y=0)

For y=0

(2/3)x+(1/2)(0)=4

(2/3)x=4

x=6

x-intercept is (6,0)

step 3

Plot the intercepts, join them, and graph the line
