[tex]_5C_0=C(5,0)=\frac{5!}{0!(5-0)!}=\frac{5!}{0!5!}[/tex]

Factorial of 0 is equal to 1 and the factorials of 5 will cancel out, so:

[tex]_5C_0=C(5,0)=\frac{5!}{0!(5-0)!}=\frac{5!}{0!5!}=\frac{1}{1\cdot1}=1[/tex]

So, the answer is 1
