Plot the point on complex plane.

The absolute of a complex number a + bi is,

[tex]A=\sqrt[]{a^2+b^2}[/tex]

Determine the absolute value of complex number 2 - i.

[tex]\begin{gathered} A=\sqrt[]{(2)^2+(-1)^2} \\ =\sqrt[]{4+1} \\ =\sqrt[]{5} \end{gathered}[/tex]

So absolute value is,

[tex]\sqrt[]{5}[/tex]
