The equation for the area of a square is:
A=s*s or A=s^2

W just plug in the value given to solve for area
A=12*12
A=144 meters squared

A=144m^2 because if you think about it a square is a regular quadrilateral and it has four equal sides . Do the math and it gets you the answer above.
