Two cars are travelled for different distance but have the same displacement. how this happens?

Respuesta :

Remember, distance is a SCALAR, and displacement is a VECTOR.

Suppose two people in a circular playground, both of them starts at the same position. Person A runs a circle and get back to the start, Person B never moves.

In this case, Person A definitely has larger distance than B, but both of them has the same displacement, which is 0!
