basically,
when you divide 2 numbers with the same sign, the result is positive
example, [tex]\frac{2}{4}=0.5[/tex] and [tex]\frac{-2}{-4}=0.5[/tex]
when you divide 2 numbers with different signs, the result is negative
example: [tex]\frac{-2}{4}=-0.5[/tex] and [tex]\frac{2}{-4}=-0.5[/tex]
