can we consider small as a quantitative pronoun?

ex: Tommy used to collect toy cars when he was young but lost most of them. He now only has a ______ collection in his room.

In this scenario, we are supposed to fill in the blank with a quantitative pronoun.

Are we expected to say little, or small in this case?

personally, a SMALL collection sounded more grammatically correct, but I'm not sure about 'small' being a quantitative pronoun.

On the other hand, a LITTLE collection doesn't make much sense.
