A rectangle has a perimeter of 60 inches and length of 22 what is the width of the rectangle

perimeter = 2l +2w

length = 22

perimeter = 60

 60 = 2(22) +2w

60 = 44 +2w

 subtract 44 from both sides

16 = 2w

w = 16/2

w = 8

 width is 8 inches
