The slope of the line formula: [tex] \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} [/tex]

Next, you would have to plug in the coordinates.
[tex] \frac{6 - 2}{9 + 7} [/tex]

Now, all you would have to do is solve and simplify it.
[tex] \frac{6 - 2}{9 + 7} [/tex]= [tex] \frac{4}{16} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex]

The slope would be  [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex].

I hope this helps!
