The unit cost decreases the more you buy at once. 1.10/1 = $1.10 you're paying $1.10 per 1. 1.98/2 = $ .99 you're paying $.99 per 1 2.89/3 = $.96 you're paying $.96 per 1. When you buy 9 you're paying less per 1 than you are when you buy 1
