Appellate jurisdiction deals with the cases heard at lower levels. It has the power of the high court to review decisions that have been made and change the decisions made by the lower court. It is generally legislatively created. The original jurisdiction deals with cases that are being heard for the first time. They make the original decisions which if necessary can later be changed by the Appellate jurisdiction.
