Depending on the energy of the transporting medium and the
degree of abrasion caused by the transportation, the clastic sedimentary rock
could have rounded edges and may contain large to fine particles. Layers can be
chipped off due to the transfer of the rock from one place to another, thus
resulting in reduced rock size and a smoother, more even texture.
