A town has a population of 16000 and grows at 4.5% every year. What will be the population after 8 years, to the nearest whole number?

The population after 8 years is 22752.
P = 16,000 people 
R = 4.5% or .045 
t = 8 years

By using the formula;

16,000 x ( 1 + .045 )⁸ = Y 
16,000 x (1.045)
⁸ = Y 
Y =  16,000 x 1.422 = 22752
