Sigmoidoscopy is the diagnostic study that the nurse is expected to prepare to evaluate possibility of crohns disease. Crohns disease is an inflammatory bowel disorder which is characterized by ulceration and edema of bowel wall. Sigmoidoscopy which is primary procedure is used to establish diagnosis.
