I need to algebraically prove that a polynomial I created is true for a project.
I chose this polynomial (y + x)^2 = x^2 + 2xy + x^2
Could someone help me prove if it is true?

(y+x)^2=x^2+2xy+x^2
x+y=3x+y^6
