Spearman believed that intelligence is composed of a general ability factor ( Factor g) and a number of specific abilities (Factor s). According to Sperman we are born with a level of intelligence, determined Factor g, which is hereditary and stable throughout life. In addition, we have a second type of intelligence, the s factor, which determines our ability to perform a task.
