[tex]6\alpha + 6 = 60[/tex]

Subtract 6 on both sides

[tex]6\alpha + 6 -6= 60-6[/tex]

[tex]6\alpha= 60-6[/tex]

[tex]6\alpha= 54[/tex]

Divide by 6 on both sides.

[tex] \frac{6\alpha}{6} =\frac{54}{6}\\\\ \alpha = \frac{54}{6}\\\\\boxed{\bf{\alpha = 9}}[/tex]
