Like fractions are fractions that have the same exact denominator (bottom part of a fraction). It doesn't matter what the numerator  is, just as long as the denominators are the same. :) 
they would both equal the same thing. 

Example:-

1/2 and 2/4 are both equal because both are equal to 0.5
