The clue to solve equations is that you can perform operations on both sides aiming to let the variable alone. For example, you can add or subtract a term as long as you do it to both sides of the equality. In this case, the variable y has 12 as coefficient, then to eliminate this coefficient you divide both sides by 12, and so you get:(12y)/12 = 132/12 => y = 11 (because 12/12 = 1 and 132/12 = 11. Then, the answer is the option A, y = 11
