Friendly at first, then gradually becoming hostile friendly I think
The correct answer is friendly at first, then gradually becoming hostile friendly

At first the new settlers had great relations with the Natives and even participated in many celebratory ceremonies. Eventually as they started spreading they started getting attacked by Natives and attacking them as well. This kind of life lead to around 80% of the initial Jamestown population dying.
